HumidX and HumidX Plus Heat Moisture Exchangers (HME) Humidifiers require no power, water, or bulky humidifiers. This technology is inserted between the mask and the vent. A waterless humidification system allows exhaled air to pass through the HumidX before reaching the mask vent, acting as a moisture source throughout therapy, providing a comfortable portable therapy experience. This waterless humidification system uses a unique Heat and Moisture Exchange (HME) technology to turn each breath out into a warmer and more natural breath in. The heat and moisture from every exhale are captured and stored within the HME’s small paper ridges. When they inhale, this heat and moisture are released to provide warm and comfortable air throughout the night, reducing heat and moisture loss and making this air exchange before reaching the mask’s vent a big differentiation point with other humidifiers.
